I had the pleasure of sitting with a group of children today during Talk Lunch. The ideas they were coming up with were very practical and plenty of ‘because’ was being used. Mr Terry North, one of the school’s Governors, was also there and he was very impressed with the children’s ideas. Thank you for your support in this new initiative.
Well done to James Warner, Natalie Lewis, Samaya Kaleel (Mrs Raddon’s Class), Freddie Paris and Rhiannon Margetson (Mrs Watson’s Class), Sam Richards and Nana Amankwah (Miss Wood’s Class), Megan Woodward, Daisy Jones, Babak Faryadmarni, Callie Fletcher (Miss Biggs’s Class) who received Green cards this week.
Well done to Mrs Watson’s and Mrs Raddon’s class who had the best attendance last week with 95.7%. However, Mrs Watson’s class pipped Mrs Raddon’s to the prize because her class had fewer children late.
World Book Day- Friday 8 March
Dress up as a book character
We are celebrating World Book Day on Friday 8 March. We would like all children to come dressed up as their favourite book character.
Children can swap any unwanted books brought in from home. From Monday 25 February, children can bring any unwanted books into school and will be given a voucher worth the number of books they bring in. They will then be able to make their swaps during the book swap event.
Red Nose Day- Friday 15 March
To help raise money for Red Nose Day this year, your child can pay £1 to come in a ‘Onesie’ or ‘Pyjamas’. On the day Amber Brooks will be running a competition to guess the number of sweets in a jar. She will be charging 50p per guess. The winner will win the sweets.
Pamper Evening- 19 April
The school’s PTA is organising a Ladies’ Pamper Evening on Friday 19 April. If you are in the beauty industry and want to book a space for a stall or offer treatment (£10 per pitch), please return the slip below.
