All our sporting fixtures have started now. Following a defeat for our football team against Alderton School (Loughton), our netball a-team won 4-0 and our netball b-team lost 1-4 against Buckhurst Hill St John’s. Our netball teams will be playing against Thomas Willingale (Loughton) tonight and Waltham Holy Cross (Waltham Abbey) on Monday. Good luck!
George Plowman (Mrs Sach’s Class) came to see me with a Green Card on Monday because he showed he was a ‘striver’. Kerys Page and Keely Harmer (Miss Biggs’s Class) received Green Cards for writing poems about the decimal point used in maths. Rianna Chambers (Miss Gibbs’s Class) received a Green Card for presenting her homework work well. I received an influx of Green cards on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Those coming to see me included Manpreet Tak and Shanice Lolomari (Mrs Campbell’s Class), Maya Sweaney-Fenton, Mia Opinel and Jessica Okaka (Miss Stafford’s Class), Eden McCartney (Miss Smith’s Class) and Erin Rumens and Daisy Jones (Miss Gibbs’s Class). Well done everyone!
Well done to Miss Gibbs’s class who won the best attendance for the second week running. Making sure your child is on time to school is very important. Not only does it have a calming effective and means your child is ready to learn, but losing 5 minutes of the school day is the same as missing almost 3 and half days over the school year.
