Help Plant a Forest (22 March 2013)
As part of the Queen’s Jubilee the Woodland Trust is hoping to plant 6 million trees in the UK. Mrs Sach has arranged for 104 of these to be planted in our school. Next week every child will have a chance to help plant one of these trees. Please send your child in with a pair of Wellington boots or old trainers (named in a plastic bag) and a waterproof coat. We are planting the trees next Friday (22 March).
Easter Bingo (23 March 2013)
There are still places for the PTA’s Easter Bingo Evening on Saturday 23 March starting at 7:30pm. Cost £6 per adult and £3.50 per child to include one free book of bingo tickets and a sausage and chip supper. Please complete the slip below and return it to the school.

Visit Essex Country Parks
Over the Easter holidays Essex Country Parks are running a variety of activities. They are offering free parking. To get your voucher, visit www.visitparks.co.uk.
Our school football team played in a rally last Friday. They played really well and were knocked out at the semi-final stage. Man of the tournament must go to Nicholas Platts who, in a thrilling match with local rivals Holy Cross Junior School, had to save and even take a penalty in the penalty shoot out; which we won!
Our Choir sang as part of a mass choir at Wembley Arena on Tuesday Night. They all sang like angels. Thank you to Mrs Westney who worked so hard with the choir to get them to learn the songs and Mrs Martin and Mrs Ferris who added their voices to the Choir.
Essex Year 6 Maths Challenge
Four of our Year 6 children; Keely Harmer, Molly-Rose Fells (Miss Wood’s Class), Joshua Gilbert and Nicholas Platts (Miss Biggs’s Class) represented the School in the Essex Maths Challenge held in Harlow on Wednesday, 13 March. The Challenge involved problem solving activities, which the team did really well in. The feedback from the Challenge organisers were that our children worked well as a team and were polite, well mannered individuals, who were good ambassadors for the School. Well done team!!
