Headteacher’s Comments
238 children taken and 238 children returned safely from Colchester Zoo. I hope your child had as good time as all the staff did. I received this message from a governor who accompanied us on the trip yesterday:

The Big Lunch – Free Picnic Event at CressingTemple (2 June)
On Sunday 2 June everyone is invited to bring along a picnic to CressingTemple and to share at The Big Lunch. Since the Big Lunch was started by the Eden Project in 2009, thousands of events of all shapes and sizes have taken place across the country each year. CressingTemple is an idyllic location for a county-wide picnic to take place, with the medieval barns and TudorWalledGarden all adding to the atmosphere for the day.
Families are encouraged to bring some garden games to enjoy, plus on-site Country Park Rangers will be leading a fun and game session for everyone to get involved in, as well as introducing other games on the green such as croquet, skittles and a knights and princesses trail.
CressingTemple and the Templar Tearoom will be open to visitors for FREE entry between 11am – 4.30pm. The Big Lunch will take place between 12 noon and 3 pm, with children’s fun and games planned for 1.30 – 2.30 pm
