At Leverton Primary School, we want to develop the imagination and creativity of our children. We ensure that our art curriculum provides a broad and varied approach that develops children’s artistic and creative abilities.

Every pupil will have the opportunity to develop skills in the key areas of painting, sculpture, collage, textiles and drawing. Children are encouraged to develop skills in each area so that they build a varied and increasingly complex knowledge of each area.

Pupils are taught about a range of artists throughout their time at Leverton and can discuss the similarities and differences between artistic styles and techniques. Children are encouraged to develop their ideas through experimentation with different medias. We want each child to reach their artistic potential and to be able to use art to express their individual and unique ideas and creativity.
