First Day Back (Monday 4 January 2016)
This is a reminder that the first day back is Monday 4 January 2016. Children need to be lining up in the playground at 8:45am.
Dinner Menu (Monday 4 January 2016)
The only change to the dinner menu for the first week back will be on Monday where the main meal will be Tuna Pasta Bake.
Christmas Card Competition
Well done to Ellie Howard who was a runner up in our local MP’s Christmas Card Competition this year. Ellie’s design appears on the back of Eleanor Lange’s Christmas Card.
Thank you to all the parents and children who contributed to the collection at the end of the Christmas Service. We raised £90 which will be donated to the Essex Air Ambulance.
You should have received a copy of next term’s booklet informing you what your child will be learning about next term. If not, please ask the school office for another copy.
Mrs Tysterman left this week after 7 successful years at the school. I am sure you would like to join in me in wishing her the very best for her future. She will spending January in Australia visiting family. We would like to welcome Emma Burgoyne, who will be working with lower school children to help accelerate their progress.
End of Day Arrangements
This is a reminder that if another adult is collecting your child or you want to change the arrangements how your child will be dismissed at the end of the day, please send a letter into your child’s class teacher or contact the school office.
Supporting your child at home over the holidays
Please continue to support your child’s learning in the holidays. Encourage your child to read regularly, practise their spellings and learn their times tables. Encourage a curiosity for learning by visiting places. Also enjoy playing games with your child, it’s great for improving logic, maths skills and taking turns.
