You may have seen me skipping around the playground this week. The school has been successful in getting a lottery grant for an outside gym. We are hoping to get the gym installed next term, by the end of the Easter Holidays by the latest. Members of the PTA are working really hard to raise money for an outside stage. Please support as many of our events as possible.
Well done to Tia Martin for working really hard during Writing Booster and Hermione Scott, Lauren Byatt, Taya Hunter and Ami Byatt for keeping the library tidy without being asked. Well done to Liam Nelson and Clarence Kelly for their Green Cards. Danny Ball received a Green Card for excellent maths work. Antonia Mills-Chance received a Green Card for excellent literacy work. Jessica Smith received a Green Card for excellent work in literacy. DeAndre Johnson-Trent received a Green Card for his acting in Writing Booster.
Operation Christmas Child
Thank you so much to everyone who donated a box or gifts for Operation Christmas Child. Our school will send off 57 boxes. A great effort!
Well done to Ms Stafford’s class for a perfect 100% attendance last week.
Christmas Carol Service
This is just a reminder that our Christmas Carol Service is on Tuesday 13 December starting at 1:30pm. Parents and family are welcome to join us in the Abbey Church for the service. All children will be expected to be collected from the Church after the service.
The netball team are arranging a non-uniform day on Friday 25 November to help raise money for a new netball kit. Cost £1 per child.
(Another!!!!) reminder to parents that they should not park in front of our neighbours’ drives.
If your child has to refrain from an activity (eg PE or outside play) in school for a particular reason, such as injury or sickness, the request must be made in writing to the teacher.
All ticket requests for Stars in Their Eyes must be given in by Monday 21 November, as any unsold by this date will be released to those parents asking for extra.
