Christmas Carol Service- Tuesday 13 December 1:30pm to 2:30pm (approx)
All children will need to bring in a packed lunch. We will walk the children down to the Church. Parents and relatives are more than welcome to join us for the service starting at 1:30pm. All children will be expected to be collected from the Church after the service. Permission slips will only be sent out to those parents who have not yet given permission for us to take their child on local trips.
Christmas Lunch Wednesday 14 December
The cost of Christmas lunch this year will be £2.30. Please return the slip below.
Christmas Parties Friday 16 December 1:15pm to 3:15pm
Christmas parties will be held in each class on Friday 16 December. Children should wear full school uniform on Friday morning, but can bring party clothes to change into. So that we have a balanced selection of party food, it would help us if you could send in a contribution from the selection which your child’s class teacher has ringed below.
Achievements
Well done to Reggie Pegrum in year 3 who has completed all his bronze, silver and gold awards and is now on his platinum awards. Well done to Jay Stephens who received a Green Card in French. Well done to Sophie Lewis, Ceylan Corakkum, Victoria Fry, Amber Brooks, Cole McFadyen, Charlie Santagata and Vincenzo Bergamino. Well done to Jamie Pickard for his excellent work in Art this week. A number of children from Miss Rogers’ class received Green Cards on Wednesday. Elspeth Allen received a Green Card on Thursday for writing an excellent book review for homework. Well done to Brandon Wood and Melody Ramanah whose winning designs will feature on the pantomime programme. I also received a letter this week from the Royal British Legion informing me what a credit Cody Cassar and Elspeth Allen were to our school at the recent Remembrance Service. It’s always good to receive such a letter. Well done everyone!
Stars in the Eyes
Well done to Melis Corakkum who won this year’s Stars in the Eyes competition. Well done to Louie Chillingworth who came second and Voeulya Mbakadi who came third.
Attendance
Well done to Miss Smith’s Class who had the best attendance last week. Some parents have received letters from me regarding attendance that has fallen below 95%, mainly due to illness. These letters are for information and I am would expect that attendance would improve once your child has returned to school.
Non-uniform day
Well done to Rebecca Hamilton, Erin Rumens, Evie Rumens and Amy Vallance who organised the non-uniform day last Friday. They raised £188.40 which will help towards the cost of a new netball kit.
Second Hand School Uniform Sale
The PTA are organising a second-hand school uniform sale. Please wash and bring any unwanted school uniform in on Monday 5 December or Tuesday 6 December. The uniform will then be on sale after school on Wednesday 7 December, Thursday 8 December and Friday 9 December.
Bags2Bag Fundraising
In the New Year the PTA will be organising a used clothes collection scheme. Every child will receive a plastic bag, similar to ones that come through your front door. The PTA will earn money for every kilogram of clothes it collects. So please do not throw out any of your unwanted clothes and save them ready for the collection early next term.
