Headteacher’s Comments
207 out of 250 children (83%) in our school were represented last week at the Pupil Progress meetings. One of the areas OFSTED asked us to improve was communication with parents by informing them of their child’s progress. I hope you found the meetings useful and you are fully aware of how your child is getting on and the progress they are making.

Well done to Kacper Kurzawa (Mrs Watson’s Class), Rhys Brown, Archie Hemming, Mimi Fetta, Jay Hyams, Brianna Warner, Tia Joseph (Mrs Raddon’s Class), Alfie Plowman (Miss O’Riordan’s Class), Patryk Mulik, Charlie Spillett, Kyri Neophytou (Miss Biggs’s Class) who received Green Cards this week.

Charging Policy
The Governing Body this week reviewed and updated the school’s ‘Charging and Remissions’ Policy. This can now found on the school website. http://www.thelevertonjuniorschool.co.uk/keyinfo_14-schoolpolicies.php
New Chair of Governors
Following nine successful years as Chair of Governors, Mrs Kane has decided it is now time to pass on the baton to someone new. Mrs Kane has been a great friend to The Leverton Junior School and is our biggest standard bearer in Waltham Abbey. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Kane for her support over the past nine years as Chair of Governors.
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Mrs Miggie Hillson as our new Chair of Governors. Miggie comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge and her contribution to the school will be as positive as her predecessor.
Mrs Dean
As many of you are aware, Mrs Dean has not been in school since last December following an illness. Mrs Dean has now decided to retire. I know many of the children, as will all the staff, will miss Mrs Dean who contributed so much to our school over the past 7 years. If you or your child would like to send a message to Mrs Dean please write it on the slip overleaf and return it to the school office by Friday 7 December.
