Headteacher’s Comments
This week in our assemblies we have been talking about Caring, whether it is for a pet, our environment and towards one another. We are lucky that there are a lot of children in the school with such a caring nature. Miss Biggs’s class spoke about the little acts of kindness that show others that we care; helping them up when they have fallen over or opening the door were just a couple of things we can all do.
Achievements
Well done to Lexi Sharman, Grace Rood, Mollie Maduro-Moore (Mrs Campbell’s Class), Hamid Lahreche, Ryan Locke Charlie Pegrum, Samaya Kaleel, Tomor Troshupa (Mrs Sach’s Class), Emily Bates (Mr Davey’s Class), Kerim Taylor (Miss Bektas’s Class) Paris Colgate, Alfie Tillbrook, Taya Hunter, Danny Ball, Corey Marks (Miss Biggs’s Class), Lola Fetta (Miss O’Riordan’s Class ), Ava Faryadmarni and Kallum Etienne (Mrs Kaleel’s Class) who all achieved Green Cards this week.
Attendance
Well done to Mrs Sach’s class, who had the best attendance this week with 98.5%.
VE Day Commemorations (8 May)
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day) we are planning a number of activities to commemorate this national event. Every child will be provided with a free picnic lunch on that day, as a coming together to enjoy a picnic lunch. The day will end with the children joining in with the national 2 minute silence at 3.00pm. Please beware the gates may be opened later on that Friday.
Snacks at Play Time
This is a reminder than only fresh fruit and vegetables are allowed at break time as a snack. Nothing in a wrapper is allowed.
Consultation
Dear Parents,
On behalf of the Governors we are writing to confirm that the consultation regarding the possible joining of the Infant School and Junior School in becoming a Primary School from September 2016 has commenced today, Friday 24th April. The consultation document can be accessed via the Essex County Council website below, or via both schools websites. Alternatively, copies of the consultation are available from the school office upon request.

The consultation period will last for four weeks and is scheduled to end on Friday 22nd May. Your views on the proposal to join the schools are important and the consultation document explains how you can let us or the County Council know your opinion. There are a variety of different ways to do this, including an online survey, as well as drop in sessions planned for both of the schools on the 12th May. The times and location of these sessions are in the consultation document and will also be sent out in advance.
We look forward to hearing your views in the coming weeks.
Regards,
Geoff Schooling Miggie Hillson
