Headteacher’s Comments

Thank you for everyone’s patience this week with regards to the new arrangements for collecting children at the end of the day.  There have been a few teething problems and these are being resolved.  Please remember to contact the school if there are any changes to the arrangements at the end of the day, by sending a letter in with your child that day or contacting the school office.

Well done to Aylin Cakirgoz, Paige Colgate, Ellie Moring, William Giddy, Evie Giddy, Rosie Moran (Miss Hubbard’s Class), Sonny Perry, Welaa Lahreche, Harry Harmer, Matthew Warner (Miss Day’s Class), Regan Russell, Lily Moore, Summer Dodd, Jodie Richardson, Lewis Speed, Malachi Phillips (Mrs Kaleel’s Class), Eda Kurtcebe, Efe Kurtcebe, Ruby Chillingworth (Mr Davey’s Class), Darcy Kilcullen, Elsie Peck, Ellie Howard, Asya Ervan, Hannah Platts, Daisy Everett, Joshua Verard, Callum Kealy-Johnson (Mrs Sach’s Class), Tyler Shepherd, Tomas Sichel, Robyn Kaminski (Mrs King’s Class), Jamie Charalambous (Miss Biggs’s Class) Abbey Savery, Mimi Fetta and Jodie Grove (Miss O’Riordan’s Class) who achieved Green Cards this week.

Cross Country

Well done to all those children who participated in the inter-Waltham Abbey cross country competition yesterday.  We had a clean sweep with Melissa Bulgurca and Thomas Phillips wining in Year 3 and Ellie Appleton and Harry Sharman winning in Year 4.

Alice in Wonderland Day

Thank you for your support today.  All the children who dressed up looked brilliant in their ‘Alice in Wonderland’ costumes.

Poppy Appeal

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Poppy Appeal, we were informed that we raised £125.82.

Again I have to ask parents and grandparents not to pull in and park in front of the barrier at the front of the school.  Yesterday I witnessed a grandparent park in front of the barrier making it extremely unsafe for families to cross the slip road, especially when he tried to move away.  Parents should park up where it is safe and walk onto the school site.
