We all have our own ways to deal with behaviour, but when running a school we need to make sure there is a consistent approach so the school remains a happy, safe environment for all children.  The children are told at Leverton to:

• Ignore
• Tell the other person to stop and walk away
• Tell an adult

Achievements

Well done to Aleyna Gurbuz, Madison Hammond (Mr Davey’s Class), Nilgun Halim, Jemma Johnson, Aaron Jones, Gabriela Musollari, Jessica Okaka (Miss O’Riordan’s Class), Reggie Pegrum, Kaylee Kilcullen, Cameron Straughan, Jamie Ryan, Ella Freeman, Jakub Sliz (Mrs Raddon’s Class), Rhys Dolan, Teddy White (Miss Biggs’s Class), Megan Hamilton (Miss Wood’s Class), who received Green Cards this week.  A number of children also received Green Cards for the effort they put into learning to swim.

Autumn Fair (Tomorrow)

I look forward to seeing as many parents and children tomorrow at our third annual Autumn Fair.  The PTA have been working hard in preparing the Autumn Fair, let’s all help make it a huge success.

King Harold Road Show (Wednesday 2 October- 6pm)

The Headteacher of King Harold Enterprise Academy, Denice Harper, and some members of staff will hold a Road Show for parents of children in Year 5 and 6.  The Road Show takes place on Wednesday, 2 October starting at 6:00pm.  The Road Show will be held here at The Leverton Junior School.

Leverton’s Got Talent Auditions (4 October- 1:15pm)

Instead of Stars in their Eyes this year, we will be hosting ‘Leverton’s Got Talent’.  Auditions will take place during the afternoon of 4 October.  If your child has a talent (singing/ dancing/ comedian/ magic etc) to share and would like to audition, they need to sign the Audition Sheet in each classroom by 1 October.

Spanish Club (7 October 8:15am)

Mrs May’s Spanish Club will be on Monday 7, 14 and 21 October, 18 and 25 November and 2 and 9 December.  It starts at 8:15 and will be in the ICT Suite.

After School Club

Kidz Club at King Harold is shutting down and a number of parents have asked if we could set up a similar After-School Club at Leverton.  I need to know how many parents would access the club to see whether it is viable.  The Club would run from 3:15pm to 6pm, charging between £7.50 and £15 a night (these prices are not confirmed).  Please return the slip at the bottom of the Newsletter to express an interest
