Staff Changes

There are a number of staff changes in January.  The Governing Body has decided to appoint two Assistant Headteachers to strengthen the leadership team.  Following her excellent work over the past year, Miss Gibbs has been appointed Assistant Headteacher responsible for Inclusion and Mrs Campbell will be joining the Leadership Team responsible for Assessment and Curriculum.   After 10 successful years, Mrs Westney has decided to move on.  Mrs Campbell (Monday and Tuesday) will join Miss Gibbs (Wednesday/ Thursday/ Friday) in teaching year 4.  Mrs Watson will be leaving at this end of this term and will be replaced by Miss Panagiotidou.  I am sure you would like to join me in wishing Mrs Westney and Mrs Watson well for the future.  Finally, Mrs Panteli will be re-joining the teaching staff covering teachers so they can be released to develop their subject within the school and she will also be teaching Writing Booster lessons.

Harvest Festival Thank You

I received a thank you letter today from Broxbourne Foodbank following the food that was donated during Harvest Festival.  In total we donated 84.7kg of food.  Thank you and well done to everyone who donated food.

Maths challenge

Hands on Maths

Your challenge is to find different ways that you use maths outside of school. Bring in a photo of this activity and the most interesting way will win a prize at Christmas!

You could be:

Adding up prices in the supermarket

Working out the perimeter of the living room while vacuuming

Cooking and weighing out ingredients

Can you find other ways you use MATHS outside of a MATHS LESSON?
