Please make sure your child is fully prepared for the hot weather. They need to have a water bottle with them every day so that they can drink from it throughout the day and fill it up at play and lunch times. Also they need a sun hat to protect them from the rays from the sun and please apply sun cream in the morning.

Well done to Miss Bektas’s class who had the best attendance this week with 100%.
Sports’ Day (Tuesday 7 July 9:15am)
This year, our Sports Day will take place on Tuesday 7th July and will commence from 9:15am. Your child was informed of their team last week. If they have one, they can wear a plain t-shirt of that colour.
Olympian Visit (Wednesday 8 July)
On Wednesday 8th July, Olympic Canoeist Etienne Stott who won a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics will be visiting Leverton Junior School. He will be taking the assembly and will hopefully have time to visit around the classes to show them his gold medal and hopefully the opportunity for us to take some photographs.
Library Books (Friday 7 July)
This is a reminder that all Library books need to be returned by Friday 7 July.
Homework Club (Tuesday 14 July)
There will be no Homework Club on Tuesday 14 July. Homework Club will start again on Tuesday 15 September between 3:15 and 4:15pm. Please make sure your child has homework to complete.
First Day Back (Thursday 3 September 2014)
This is a reminder that the first day back is Thursday 3 September. The children should be ready to line up in the playground at 8:45am.
Meet the Teacher Evening (Thursday 10 September 7pm)
Advance notice that our ‘Meet the Teacher’ evening, where you have a chance to hear what your child will be learning next year, is on Thursday 10 September starting at 7.00pm. This meeting is unsuitable for children.
Well done to all the children who represented the school in District Sports over the past two weeks. Overall the Boys came runner up in the field events and Sydie Peck won the Boys’ Ball Throwing Competition.
