Headteacher’s Comments
Following on from feedback to the Governors’ Questionnaire earlier this year, I have been looking at the homework books this week. This is the second time I have looked at them this term. I am pleased to say the work set is the same between classes and the work is differentiated; meaning the higher attainers are getting work set more for their ability.
However, I do think that the work needs to be better presented. Each Homework book has a sheet glued into the front showing how the work should be presented; every piece of work should have a date and title and these should be underlined. Your help to check this would be appreciated.
Research has found that children who complete homework to a high standard makes 6 months more progress than those children who do not.
