Headteacher’s Comments

Have you seen the picture of the astronaut fixing the International Space Station?  I showed the children a picture of this in assembly this week and we found it hard to identify the astronaut.  It goes to show that we are all ‘small cogs in a big wheel’.  Not only do we all have to work together, but we need to follow the school policies and procedures.  You can play your part in ensuring the big wheel is kept turning by listening to your child read every day, making sure they complete their homework and ensuring they are in school and on time.  All information on how the school runs is on the school website.

Well done to Ms O’Riordan’s Class who had the best attendance this week with 100%.

Pupil Progress Meetings (Tuesday 10 March and Thursday 12 March)

Our Pupil Progress Meetings for parents will be spread over two days Tuesday 10 March 2015 (3:30pm-6:00pm) and Thursday 12 March 2015 (5:00pm- 7:30pm).

To enable appointments to be arranged, will you please complete the slip overleaf and return it to your child’s class teacher by Friday 6 March.  We will then do our best to give you appropriate times for your interviews.

Red Nose Day (Friday 13 March)

This year’s appeal is ‘Make your Face Funny’.  Children can donate £1 to come into school making their face funny.  School uniform still needs to be worn.

Pupils in School before School

This is a reminder that children are not allowed in school before the school day.  Children should only be in the Breakfast Bar (from 8:10am) or the school playground (from 8:35am).


After School Club is looking for ‘junk’.  If you have any cardboard tubes, small cardboard boxes, egg boxes, yoghurt pots or small plastic bottle, please bring it into school.


Well done to the Football team who won 3-2 against Thomas Willingale yesterday.
