Headteacher’s Comments

Please keep checking the ‘Dates for your Diary’ as dates are updated on a weekly basis.  Please take note of this term’s Coffee Morning (1 and 2 December) and Dads’ Drinks (1 December).  This is your opportunity to hear what is happening at The Leverton Junior School and give us feedback on how to make the school better.  Everyone who attends will receive a free gift.

Remembrance Assembly (Tuesday 11 November- 10:30)

The Year 6 Remembrance Assembly will start at 10:30am on Tuesday.  As the Assembly will include 1 minute silence, it is unsuitable for small children.

Children in Need (Friday 14 November)

Next week is Children in Need. To help raise money, children can donate £1 to come in dressed as a ‘Super Hero’.

Pupil Progress Meetings (Wednesday 19 November/ Thursday 20 November)

Our Pupil Progress Meetings for parents will be spread over two days, Wednesday 19 November 2011 (3:30pm-6:00pm) and Thursday 20 November 2011(5:00pm- 7:30pm).

To enable appointments to be arranged, will you please complete the slip overleaf and return it to your child’s class teacher by Friday, 14 November.  We will then do our best to give you interviews at appropriate times.

Year 6 Residential (Wednesday 1 July 2015 – Friday 3 July 2015)

This is a reminder that the letter went out yesterday regarding the Year 6 Residential.  Unfortunately we are only able to offer the residential to 40 children, so it will be on a strictly first come, first serve basis on payment of the initial non-refundable deposit.

Mrs Collins

Mrs Collins is leaving today after working at the school for nine years.  I would like to take this opportunity to wish Mrs Collins well for the future.  Mrs Brown will be supporting Mrs Watson’s Class from Monday.

Halloween Disco

Well done to the PTA for organising two fantastic Halloween Discos.  The children looked great and it was a ‘spookily’ good evening.  In total the PTA raised £338.01.
