Headteacher’s Comments
Where did September go? With the nights closing in, please make sure you talk to your child about Road Safety, especially if you allow them to walk to and from school.
Achievements
Well done to Jerome Pownall-Jones, Frankie Stevens (Miss Panagiotidou), Scarlett Lawn (Miss Hubbard’s Class), Nathaniel Walker (Mrs King’s Class), Darren Ojuade (Miss Bektas’s Class) who received Green Cards this week.
Football Team
Well done to the Football Team who won their second match 4-3 against St John Fisher.
Year 6 Residential
This is a reminder that deposits need to be returned by next Wednesday (14 October). After this date, the number of places will probably be reduced and it will be hard to accommodate your child if they change their mind. If you have any concerns regarding payment, please arrange to meet me.
School photographer (19 October)
The school photographer will be in school on Monday 19 October to take individual photographs of Junior School children. Any child with a sibling/siblings in the Junior or Infant School will also have a group photograph taken. If you wish family groups with children not at the Junior or Infant School, please bring the children to the office at 8:30am.
Harvest Festival (19 October 2pm – NEW DATE!)
Our Year 4 children have been busy working on our Harvest Festival Assembly to showcase the work we have been doing on our current topic of ‘Harvest’. Family and friends are invited to watch the assembly at 2pm. We have, in the past, collected food items for a local charity and this year our chosen charity is the local Foodbank. We would like to continue this tradition, as last year our two schools together donated over 2 tonnes of food to be distributed. If you would like to contribute gifts of tinned food or packets of non-perishable goods, these would be welcome from any child in the school from Monday 12th October. Thank you!
