Nursery
Welcome to Leverton Primary School Nursery! Our Nursery is a nurturing and happy environment where your child will learn, grow and play through a wide range of activities. Our class is called Bumblebees and we are always very busy, accessing a rich environment both indoors and outdoors. We strive to provide your child with the freedom to explore and follow their own interests, helping them to become independent learners. We use and follow the Early Years Curriculum to inform our planning across the 7 key areas of learning, with a particular emphasis on Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional development and Physical Development. Our Nursery is a hive of activity, and we like to have lots of fun together, creating a buzz from the very start of your child’s journey into school.
Our Team:
Our team at Nursery consists of three full-time members of staff (one role of which is shared by two staff members). We work hard to form close relationships with children and their families and we are always available to offer support and answer any questions you may have.

Our Setting
Admissions
We offer full time 8:45 – 3:20 and part time places everyday 5 x AM 8:45 – 11:45 or 5 x PM 12:20– 3:20. This includes 30 hour funded places.
Parents who wish to apply for a place in the Nursery should contact the school office for an application form. Please provide Birth Certificate and Utility Bill with current address. The children’s names are placed onto the Nursery waiting list and is done by priority of 1; Looked After Children 2: Siblings 3: Admission Area 4: Out of Area. We take children the term after they are three but only have one in-take which is September. All children must be toilet trained and out of nappies. Due to the demand for places, parents are advised to apply as early as possible by February half term each year.

15-hour and 30-hour places
We offer 30 hour funded places here at Leverton. This means your child can have a full time Nursery place here with us. There is a charge of £2 per day to cover lunchtime supervision. To check if eligible for 30 hours please go to www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
To apply for 30 hours free funding, please click on the link below and email school with your child’s name and your 11-digit code. Each code lasts for approximately 3 months. You will be sent a reminder from the Government to renew your code.
