Curriculum
Our vision is Learning and Achieving; today, tomorrow, for life by providing every child with a curriculum which is rich and varied, challenging and inspiring.
At Leverton Primary school the curriculum is designed with the intention of promoting learning, personal growth and development for all pupils regardless of their stating point, ability of specific need.
We aim to teach children how to grow into positive, responsible people, who can work and co-operate with others while developing knowledge and skills, so that they achieve their true potential.
The National Curriculum – Key Stages
We follow the National Curriculum (2014). Years 1 and 2 follow Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Years 3-6 follow Key Stage 2 (KS2). These comprise of core and foundation subjects. EYFS (Reception) follow the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage, and Development Matters.
